Faith representation and the Strategic Partnership
What is Faith representation?
Strategic Partnerships exist all over the country. This Government-led initiative is intended to encourage the different sectors to work together for the benefit of local communities. The Strategic Partnerships work closely with the local Council, but seek to provide an overview from the different sectors that are engaged with the local community. In Swindon, there has been a Faith representative from the start. The current Strategic Partnership works in several groupings, which are described in the next section. The Faith representative sits on the Overview and Monitoring Group. This is responsible for specific pieces of work that affect the entire community, including the Sustainable Community Strategy and the Climate Change Action Plan.
The current Faith representative is Rev'd Stephen Henderson.
