Churches' Racial Justice Network 

Discrimination on the basis of skin colour, ethnic group or cultural identity is as old as human society itself. Its effects - from bullying in the school playground to genocide - are devastating on both victims and perpetrators.

Christians believe that all people are made in the image of God and the universal Church comprises people from every background and culture. Yet we continue to live in a very unequal and unjust world where ethnic conflict abounds.

At their best, church congregations can point the way to a healthy community where all are valued and live together in mutual respect: at their worst they simply reflect the evils of the society in which they are set.

The Churches' Racial Justice Network works for racial justice across Britain and Ireland. We aim to make a real difference in the Christian community and far beyond by raising awareness, encouraging effective working together and facilitating imaginative local initiatives.
